fantastic reviews from weddings!

Here is an example of one: Mountain Magic catered our wedding on 8/8/15 and had everybody talking about how amazing the food was! They were one of our first hires for the wedding and we could not be happier. They were easy to communicate with and helped us put together a delicious Mexican food menu that was within our limited budget.

Peter, the head chef, sent us an extensive list of options for the appetizers, sides and main courses. We met with Martha, the lead coordinator, a few months before the wedding to talk about the menu and go over all of the services they would provide the day of. They provided the full catering staff, including licensed bartenders, and took care of the clean up after the dinner. Both Martha and Peter were very responsive to all of our questions and made sure we had everything we needed for our wedding.

The dinner was great! Not only was the presentation of the buffet great, the flavors of the food were so tasty! The meats at the fajita bar were great and all the different salsa options were to die for. The catering staff was friendly and the bar tenders were great.

I would highly recommend Mountain Magic for all of those having their wedding in the Lake Tahoe region!

Family Style Reception Dinner

Peter & Martha,

Where do I begin? Thank you does not begin to express our gratitude. Starting from the very beginning of the planning stages, both of you were a wealth of information, easy to work with, and above all, Martha was always available to answer ALL of my questions and give her opinion, not only on the menu selections, but on venues, rentals, etc.

You may not remember, but, Jesse really wanted to have a food tasting. As you explained, your kitchen does not accommodate serving people. However, you let us know that if we let you know in advance, we could possible attend another function that you were catering during the cocktail/appetizer time to taste the food. With Jesse & Brandon's schedule, we unfortunately could not make that happen. Both Brandon and Jesse consider themselves Foodie's. They love to eat and love spending their weekends trying out every restaurant in the San Francisco area. When they travel, food is a big part of the trip/adventure. As a matter of fact, when they go on their honeymoon in January to Vietnam & Cambodia, they have booked a food excursion and cooking classes.

So, since food is so important, Jesse was somewhat nervous. I referred her to your reviews on line and told her that we would just have to trust previous customers comments. When we finally met in March, she was finally at ease. The way you talked about and described the various options and selections, she could tell you were passionate about the product you serve and committed to supplying your guest with the highest quality of food and service.

Not only did you meet our expectations, you exceeded them. I can not begin to tell you all the compliments we had not only at the rehearsal dinner, but the wedding reception as well. As you know, we did a buffet at the welcome party, serving 63 people. Starting with the served appetizers, then the main courses, finishing with dessert, everything was amazing!

Your staff and bar tender did an awesome job. I remember reading one of the last e-mails after we gave you our final count for the reception and you had mentioned that this was going to be challenging since Jesse had wanted to have a plated meal that was served to each guest. OK, now I was nervous! Well, let me just say, you handled this large group with complete success.

Again, starting with the appetizers, PHENOMENAL!!! The Sushi was off the chart. One of the guest sitting at my table said that he could have made the salad his main course. It was that good. Every single plated dish was not only delicious, but hot when it was served. ( I don't have to tell you that with a guest count of 190+, that is not easy to accomplish.) Your staff worked very hard to make sure everyone was served as timely as possible.

We have gotten countless compliments on the food. Rave reviews! I must use the word PHENOMENAL again.

My steak, and again, I have been told by many, was cooked to perfection. Still pink inside, tender and warm. I'm not even sure how you accomplished that with the number of dinners you had to prepare and serve. I was told the chicken was delicious and also very tender. However, the second compliment next to the filet was the fish. To my surprise, we had more people choice fish over chicken. I was a little worried about this because fish can be tricky to prepare. Everyone raved about it. Many couples decided to order two different entree's so that they could split and share. They said the fish was absolutely delicious and as good as the steak. That is remarkable! The desserts were beyond perfect. The late night snacks were a hit. Delicious! Your staff and bartenders attention to detail was very noticeable and appreciated. They all were very kind, polite, and helpful.

You and your staff was such a big part of this weekend celebration and helped to create an amazing experience that will be remembered forever. Brandon and Jesse were delighted that everything turned out as well as it did and so appreciative of all the hard work that went into making their rehearsal and wedding so memorable.

I will be writing a review so further potential customers can rest assured that if the choose Mountain Magic Catering, they will be getting a top notch organization. If we should ever have another function or event in Tahoe, I will definitely not hesitate to book you immediately.
