Do I need a wedding consultant?
By no means do you necessarily
need a coordinator when working with Mountain Magic and its preferred
rental companies. Together we can guide you through the details and
then combine our services into one the day of with your creative
control. If you wish to remove yourself from the planning and details
that normally would fall on family and friends the day of. You may
welcome coordination services and we can offer referrals.
Our preferred
coordinators will accommodate a variety of services that can be
customized and remove all of the potential stress of planning a
wedding, (especially for larger detailed receptions) and can offer
day of coordination. They will become the point person for all the
questions everyone seems to have at the last moment. Our catering
staff will then work with the coordinator proceeding and on site the
day of. This will free your family and friends to enjoy the day and
not be thinking of any logistics. From the early days of planning for
such a special day, the consultant can help navigate the big picture
of budget, location and vendors. This early planning with a third
party willbring together the client's vision within Tahoe's very
special setting.
What are your prices for a
buffet reception compared to a sit down?
Mountain Magic has never had set pricing
nor menus. We cater various types of seasonal events with many
different price points and staff requirements. The buffet format
comprises of more selections in the sides and salads, and can lean
towards a more casual affair allowing guests to mingle easier and is
more reasonably priced due to less labor. A sit down tends to be a more
formal affair, with a per head price that is slightly higher and
necessitates additional staff.

Are we allowed to purchase our
own beverages and do you have a corkage fee?
We strongly believe that the client
should be able to cut significant costs by purchasing the beverages of
their choice at the best possible price. We do not charge a corkage
fee. Nor a cake cutting fee.
Will the price of the wedding
go up on the day?
Our contract that is signed by the
client, is not only easy to read but well laid out so that there are
never any hidden costs that are applied the day of the event! If the
event is going over the contracted time of the staff; we provide the
client with the option to extend the staff's hours.
